How to find a good employer or a good company

My wish list for good employer or company

  1. Research the company or their ratings on some forum usually glassdoor is a good one
  2. Read reviews not just look at numbers
  3. Find out from friends or family
  4. If you are interviewed, see if you can Turn the table
  5. Turn the table means when you interview do a discussion style interview not just employer asking you questions
  6. See how the interviewer would respond to similar questions that they have asked you
  7. Salary - What if you are asking 50 and company offers you 45 - I would stay away
  8. Usually good company would offer you 50 or 55
  9. On the website the employer says they are the best places to work but the user rating on glassdoor is poor - I would say stay away
  10. Company staff is rude
  11. Interview time no one asks you for a cup of water or coffee - Stay away
  12. You arrive early and the interviewer knows that you have arrived but they don't receive you until the agreed time common courtesy - I say watch your step or stay away
  13. Employer insists upon very strict background check, financial history, medical, asking W2 - I say stay away they don't trust you  - trust issues
  14. Vacation is on accrual basis but you work in IT and you are needed to work off hours and evenings but company does not allow you to be flexible with your time accordingly - Sign of working too much - stay away
  15. Companies have a policy to pay you after two weeks of work - Find one that pays you in advance for two weeks
  16. Above are some of the items on my wish list of good employers

Turning the table

"Turning the table"

Well, I am student my professor asks me to submit assignments to grade me

Now, lets turn the table

I am the student and asking my professor to do an assignment so I could understand his methods

"Turning the table"

I am a guy walking on the street and some one needs help and I give him few dollars or something to eat.

Now lets turn the table

I am a guy walking on the street and some one needs help and I pass by them. They offer to help me instead by giving me few dollars for a coffee or something and say that they want to feel rich

"Turning the table"

I am at a interview the interviewer asks me questions about me, background and other details (salary expectations)

Now lets turn the table

I am at a interview the interviewer asks me some questions about me, background and other details and then I start to ask them similar questions about them their background and their details

My thoughts: I have seen and experienced that turning the table does not work well and it can be very hard to digest

Would like to here your thoughts
